What is the biggest summer holiday without food, fireworks, decorations and fun in the sun? The 4th of July is tomorrow and we’re all set for a day filled with fun and celebration. Now, putting together any kind of party or celebration is a task when you have to do it all, but with the help of ZURU, I’m cutting my prep time way down!

Let’s talk summer parties…and right now, the 4th of July in particular. I have our menu already covered. If you’ve been following the blog over the past few weeks, I’m sure you’ve seen all of the Potluck Perfect Dishes I’ve gathered up – appetizers, main dishes, side dishes, salads, desserts – I covered it ALL. And not only are those recipes perfect for potlucks, but they work just as great for any kind of party or celebration where there’s going to be a crowd (or even just your immediate family). Food…check!

Next, it just wouldn’t be the 4th of July without fireworks. I mean, duh… Our kids are still small so all it takes to make them happy are some handheld sparklers and we’ve already purchased 8 or so boxes of those. On top of that, our neighbors never fail to let us down either. We always have more than one fireworks display in our neighborhood and they’re easily seen right from our backyard. So fireworks? Those are checked off, too. By the way, glow sticks are also always a hit!

Decorations? That’s an easy one, especially when I have ZURU in my corner. I know all too well how time consuming it is to blow up balloons, and I’m not just talking by mouth. Even blowing up balloons one at a time with a helium tank can take forever.

Two months ago when we celebrated my son’s 1st birthday, it took me as long to inflate the balloons as it did for family to grill the food. But now, with ZURU’s Bunch O Balloons (BOB) Self-Sealing Party Balloons, I can blow up 40 balloons in 40 seconds! Yes, please!

Oh, and it’s not just the task of blowing them up, but they self-tie and are already pre-strung. Game chaaangeeer! Plus, you know I’m a sucker for a good deal. Did you know that BOB Self Sealing Party Balloons are reusable and refillable? Well, so long as they don’t get popped. So check those decorations off my list, too!

Last, but not least, because this is my kids’ favorite thing about celebrating Independence Day, or any summer day for that matter – fun in the sun. Here in Florida, it has been so hot, I’d swear we were living on the sun. Like for real. It’s a “don’t leave home if you don’t have to” kind of hot, so when it comes to fun in the sun, there’s no doubt water is involved. One of our favorite ways to play with water is with water balloons because it’s something even our toddler can enjoy.

Just a few weeks ago we had a little water fun with ZURU’s Bunch O Balloons Self-Sealing Water Balloons – 800 of them! I would say it took all of maybe 10 minutes to fill all of the water balloons because it’s as easy as hooking them up to the hose, giving a little shake once they’re full and voila…game on! The balloons seal themselves and are ready for war!

They fill and seal just like the original BOB Water Balloons, but well…they smell like rotten eggs. Yuck! You better believe fun in the sun is also checked off on our 4th of July checklist because Bunch O Balloons are in the house!

And just between me and you, I don’t want to smell like rotten eggs, so I might just make sure all of the BOB Rotten Eggs water balloons are in my bucket. That way I get to stink up everyone else. I’m providing all the fun so it sounds fair to me. Bahaha!

I just hope they don’t try to get retaliation with the new X-SHOT Fast Fill Water Blaster. My son is obsessed with water guns, so this is right up his alley. Since it only takes 2 seconds to fill the blaster with water, I won’t even have time to hide.

We’re definitely ready for our 4th of July holiday. How about you? Did I miss anything that you find essential for enjoying your summer holiday?
