Are you ever just shopping and happen to see something that immediately sparks a fun idea? Well, that’s what happened to me over the weekend. I was doing some grocery shopping and came across Lofthouse Build a Snowman Cookies. What happened next was nothing short of holiday magic!
I have been working on holiday treat bags for my son’s classroom. Of course, they’re already jam packed with all kinds of Christmas-themed goodies, but when I saw Lofthouse Build a Snowman Cookies while grocery shopping, I knew I had to make room for one more treat.
Naturally, this sparked an idea. What came to mind? “Do you wanna build a snowman?” (I’ll bet you sang that, didn’t you?) … Okay, at this point the phrase is kind of overkill, but I don’t care. My son is in 1st grade, and the cookies and idea are just too cute to pass up.
I grabbed what I thought would be enough cookies to create snowmen for my son’s whole class (it took 3 packages after my kids had their share, haha) and then set out trying to figure out what I was going to put them in. I swear it was a holiday miracle when I saw some little round, snack sized containers at Dollar Tree. They were the perfect fit!
I could have stopped there, but it’s just not in my nature. I had to create a label of some sort to put on top of the containers. That’s when these “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?” Cookie Cup Toppers were born.
Ya’ll, I am absolutely smitten with these and so glad they turned out just as I envisioned (because that doesn’t always happen). If you can find these Lofthouse Build a Snowman Cookies (I got them at Winn Dixie, you should definitely put some of these together.
