Disney World is fun any day out of the year, but add holiday celebrations to the mix and you’re guaranteed to have an extra special time. Have you heard about Disney World’s brand new Halloween experience at Magic Kingdom? It’s called Boo Bash, and it’s for all the kids and adults who can’t get enough Disney magic, especially around Halloween time. Here’s everything you need to know about Disney World’s Boo Bash!

What Is Boo Bash?
You might remember Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, which was what Disney previously offered as a nighttime Halloween experience. This year, Disney has reimagined Mickey’s Not So Scary and created Boo Bash. The Halloween nighttime spectacular takes place at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom park and starts “after hours” at 9:00pm or 9:30pm, depending on the night you book. The event lasts 3 full hours, so it ends either at midnight or 12:30 am, so be sure to check when booking!
When is Boo Bash?
Boo Bash starts August 10th and runs through October 31st, so there’s plenty of time to enjoy the Halloween festivities. You can purchase tickets online here. Boo Bash, like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, starts off only running on Tuesdays and Thursdays in August, then adds Sunday evening dates in September and October. If you’re interested in tickets, move fast! Several October dates are already sold out!
Boo Bash Entertainment Offerings
Character Cavalcades
Boo Bash includes several special Halloween character cavalcades.
- Mickey’s Happy Halloween: This adorable cavalcade includes Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and other pals dressed in their Halloween costumes, ready to treat or trick.
- Disney’s Villain Halloween: This cavalcade features classic Disney villains like Gaston, Dr. Facilier, Jafar, and the Queen of Hearts, celebrating being bad and wicked.
- Jack’s Nightmare: Jack Skellington leads this character cavalcade, with Sally and Oogie Boogie from the spooky Tim Burton film, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Character Entertainment
Character Entertainment is always subject to change, but Boo Bash promises several unique character spottings and entertainment like:
- Performances by the Cadaver Dans
- Chip ‘N Dale sightings
- Goofy out and about
- Foulfellow and Gideon roaming around
- Miss Carlotta, Miss Renatta, and Broome the Butler at Haunted Mansion
Rather than being available for autographs, these characters will pop up around the park with quick spottings and sightings, so keep your eyes open!
What Else is Included at Boo Bash?
Rides
Disney promises over 20 attractions open at Boo Bash and is also advertising shorter wait times for the rides. You might just get to ride most of the rides during the event! As always, advertised ride openings are subject to change, but Disney has stated that you can expect these rides to be open (with the caveat that even these are subject to change without notice!) during Boo Bash:
- Jungle Cruise
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
- Haunted Mansion
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Space Mountain
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Fast passes are not available, which is typically the norm for special events, but it’s important to know while planning your trip. Special events may have shorter wait times since the event is more exclusive with less attendance, but some rides can still receive a hefty wait time. Between the characters, rides, candy stops, and snacks, plan a time to ensure that you can ride the attractions that you want.
Food and Snacks
Popcorn, ice cream novelties, and select beverages at carts throughout the park are included with your admission ticket! Dine-in locations will still be open and guests can purchase meals if needed, but lead me to that popcorn cart!
Besides free snacks, Disney is also including trick or treat locations around the park. These spots have candy GALORE! However, if you have allergies, just let a cast member know and you can pick up allergy free items all night.
