Now that I’m back home from my trip to Orlando for the JPMA Show: Built for Baby, I’ve had the chance to really think about what brands and products stood out to me. As a mom of 3, just over the 7 years I’ve had kids, baby gear has changed tremendously. New parents…you really have no idea how good you have it. So, I thought I’d do a recap of some of my favorite brands from the JPMA Show and you can tell me which one(s) you think will benefit your family (because quite frankly, I could use them all)!
~I received complimentary tickets to the JPMA Show to help facilitate this post. As always, opinions are still 100% my own.~
One of the coolest products I saw at the JPMA Show was the One4Life Car Seat by Britax. I actually shared this on my Instagram Stories while at the show. As if the name doesn’t give it away, it’s a car seat that grows with your child right from the newborn stage, up until they don’t even need a car seat anymore. It’s literally one car seat for life and easily converts to accommodate the needs of every stage. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Britax One4Life Car Seat won’t be available until this fall. If you’re expecting, just plan to put this car seat on your registry!
A super fun brand that I got to check out was Kids Embrace. From Disney Princesses, to the coolest of super heroes, Kids Embrace makes baby/toddler gear that kids will actually want to use. Booster seats, walkers, highchairs, trike/stroller combos, harness buddies – the fun never ends!
The reason this brand really stands out to me is because as soon as I saw the Minnie Mouse Combination Harness Booster Car Seat, I knew it would be perfect for my Disney loving little. She’s using a hand-me-down car seat right now, so this would be something to call her own, because I highly doubt her brothers will want to sit in a Minnie Mouse seat.
While I saw a few nursing bra brands at the JPMA Show, I didn’t see many maternity/nursing clothes. So when I caught eye of Angel Maternity, I knew I had to stop by their booth; and so glad I did because they let me buy a nursing top right then and there! My breastfeeding wardrobe is really lacking. Like, I wear everyday tops that just happen to work for breastfeeding too. But that usually means covering baby with a light blanket, which he hates. Having a top that was designed for nursing, but also looks amazing? There’s no better feeling. Just today we went shopping at the outlets and I was able to discretely feed my little without a blanket.
Best. Day. Ever. It’s the little things, ya know?
If you follow me on social, you know my oldest plays soccer. We spend a lot of time on the soccer field, and while the big people are taken care of as far as seating, our little guy isn’t. Ya’ll, I saw the Go With Me Chair by Baby Delight and knew I had to stop and learn more. This thing is the ultimate chair for baby, for outdoor fun. Think camping, sports, backyard BBQ’s. And it has it’s own carrying bag, just like our chairs.
Speaking of being on the soccer field…how about everything you have to carry along with you? We have a chair for each adult, one for our daughter, possibly adding another for the soon-to-be toddler, soccer balls, gloves (because my kid’s the goalie), cooler, snacks, sunscreen, and everything else I’m forgetting. It is not an easy trip to the field. So as I was passing by the WonderFold Baby booth at the JPMA Show, I saw all kinds of wagons that would help us not only carry all of our gear, but our kids too! Double seat wagons, quad seat wagons, wagons with canopies, easy fold wagons – and they’re all pretty multi-terrain, if you will. I could see using them on the sand at the beach, carrying groceries from the car into the house, strolls and picnics in the park, rolling through the mall or outlets, etc.
This just barely touches the surface of all the amazing brands and products there are to see at the JPMA Show. If you could only see how long my wish list is. With all the innovation in the industry, I guarantee I’ll want to try new baby gear even when all of my kids are completely out of the baby stage. I just hope it doesn’t lead to having another baby.
And if you haven’t heard, JPMA has already secured next year’s (2020) location – Dallas, TX! If you’re in or around that area, I highly recommend attending if you can. Many brands hand out samples while you’re browsing; there are giveaways; you can get a grab bag filled with all kinds of cool stuff; and it’s just a great time.
